Bamber House is a large two storied house built about 1910. Bamber House offers you a range of accommodation choices in a huge colonial home set in spacious grounds on the slopes of Mt Eden.

We are a small, family run business and we will do our best to make you feel welcome. We very proud of our hostel (meet us here).
 
   

You can choose from double & twin rooms or shared rooms with 3-6 people in them. You can choose from double, twin, single, shared or dorm rooms.

All beds are made up with sheets and duvets for your comfort and convenience. Sheets and bedding are included in the rates for all rooms.

 
         

All rooms share bathrooms and access to TV lounge, kitchen and dining room.  The house has gas heating as well as a log fire in the main living area.

(Breakfast is not included but a self catering kitchen means you can prepare your own meals or eat out at some of the great local cafes)

If you are looking for somewhere comfortable & friendly to stay away from the rush of downtown, where you can get a good night's sleep but still be close (2.5 km to city centre) to all Auckland has to offer then you are in the right place.  We are on a bus route into the city ($1.50 fare) or it is approx-30 minutes walk.

  
     
         
 
           

A great hostel is nothing without a great kitchen. Ours is large and more than accomadates everyone of our guests.

We are doing our best to be friendly to the environment and ask for your assistance when staying with us to recycle your rubbish, we have a worm farm for organic rubbish as well as participating in weekly kerbside recycling. We welcome your comments and ideas.

 
   
       

We have more off street car parking than any other backpackers in Auckland so you can usually find somewhere to park your car or store your bike.

There is no smoking in the main house but there is a covered area outside for smokers
